Video – One Day

 

About this project:

I love producing pretty B-roll shots for videos. Not only do they add to the overall production value, but you often need some material to cut away to so that you can place an edit in the middle of what a person said in an interview. Maybe they sneezed, or there was a siren outside, or they just stumbled over something they were trying to say.

I wanted to add some motion to my time-lapse shots, but didn’t have the budget to purchase a motion control rig, nor did I think it was worth renting. So I rigged up a way to move a dolly down a track in precise and repeatable increments, and then set out to do a few tests. Two of the time-lapses here were made on that rig. With a little processing, they came together nicely, and appeared in a couple of other videos. Here’s a photo of the rig:
