Black Students Admissions Initiative 2018

About this project:

The purpose of this video was to create a direct connection between current students and prospective students.

Every year, students who are admitted to more than one school become hot commodities, with the institutions competing to get the students they want by making offers of financial aid, post-graduation job prospects, and connections with VIPs. From the school’s perspective there’s pressure and urgency to get admitted students to commit, before they get drawn away to another school. In this case, we wanted to specifically appeal to black admitted students, as part of a continuing effort to celebrate and increase diversity at the Law School. This video was part of that effort.

I worked with current students who are members of the BLSA – the Black Law Students Association to make this video for a very specific audience, using interviews, a bit of B roll, and direct-to-camera appeals.
